Install a font
Install a font on Windows
Install a downloaded TTF or OTF font and use it in an app.
Updated:
Extract the font
Find the downloaded ZIP in Downloads, right-click it and choose Extract All. Open the extracted folder and find a .ttf or .otf file.
Install the font
Double-click the font file and choose Install. You can also right-click the file and select Install; Windows 11 may place additional commands under Show more options.
Choose Install for all users if everyone on the computer needs the font. Administrator permission may be required.
Select the font in your app
Reopen your app and select the font from its font list. Check installation under Settings → Personalization → Fonts. Its displayed name may differ from the file name.
These steps apply to Windows 11 and Windows 10. A service running in your browser may require a separate font upload.
